If there’s one truth about being a parent, it’s that time is in short supply.

I was so excited to become a mother, but once I actually had this tiny human in my arms, the idea of documenting his life “properly” felt more stressful than fun. 

When Ronan turned one, his baby book sat empty in his room. There were too many pages, too much pressure. I had baby book paralysis.

So when I was pregnant with my second son, Arin, I decided to make something different. For the parents who didn’t want the obligation of capturing all the moments — just the ones that matter most. 

The song your little one makes you play on repeat. The pizza party on the floor, the day you moved into your new home. The real stuff that makes up the beautiful chaos of family life — rather than the perfectly documented version of it.

As a brand designer with a love of pattern, nostalgia, and paper goods, I set out to create something beautiful and tangible. It became Littlelogue — a modern keepsake with no obligation to do things perfectly. (As soon as you become a parent you realise perfectionism is a) not real and b) extremely overrated.) 

Parenthood is full of contradictions. The best, the hardest. Long days, short years. 

It’s my hope Littlelogue helps you keep a piece of this season with you forever.
